Ali Omar Afrah is a seasoned diplomatic and public affairs professional with more than 15 years of experience in international relations, government affairs, consular services, stakeholder engagement, and diplomatic operations across Africa, the Middle East, and North America. Throughout his distinguished career with the Somali diplomatic mission in Egypt, he served in progressively senior leadership roles, culminating as First Secretary at the Embassy of Somalia in Cairo, where he managed embassy operations, facilitated bilateral relations, coordinated high-level government engagements, and represented Somalia at major international summits and multilateral forums.

Ali possesses extensive expertise in diplomacy, public policy, immigration and consular affairs, trade facilitation, protocol management, strategic communications, and cross-cultural stakeholder engagement. He has worked closely with government officials, diplomatic missions, international organizations, business communities, and media representatives to strengthen international partnerships and advance national interests. His multilingual capabilities in Somali, Arabic, and English have enabled him to successfully navigate complex international environments and build strong relationships across diverse cultures and regions.

Currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy at Athabasca University, Ali combines academic insight with practical leadership experience in diplomacy, governance, and international cooperation.
